Book review

"All the rage"- review. Last week I finished reading a criminal book „All the rage” by Cara Hunter, one of the five books from this series. At first, when we open the book, we read a terrifying story about a girl who was grabbed of the street, and assaulted. Then, another girl disappears. Adam Fawley- main character, (investigator that appeared in all books from this series) needs to connect the facts, and bring one forgotten case back to life, to catch the offender.  The book is really complicated at first, a lot of characters, things going on, and a new thread at almost every other page, but at the end it all connects into one piece. Criminal books with two or more cases can be really interesting, exploring characters past, connecting two and two together, trying to understand offenders motive. This book taught me a lot about criminality, because the investigation was described with details so i could really try solving it myself. To be honest I could not predict the end...

Criminalistics and criminology- introduction

Criminalistics and criminology- introduction Criminalistics and criminology are going to be the main themes of my future posts. At the outset I would like to explain the difference between those two. Criminalistics is more practical area. It is a biological and technical science, about defecting crimes and criminals. Every day, criminalistics professionals perform three types of tasks: detection, evidence and prevention. When it comes to criminology, it is sociological science. The main interest of criminologists are the motives for which a person goes on a criminal path. It is not difficult to see, that this is much more theoretical field.  In my posts I am going to write more about criminality, so I will describe interesting cases and well known criminals.
